| TV 411 | We love this site! It's colorful, informative, and easy to navigate. Run by PBS, it has a plethora of lessons on reading, writing, and more. |

| The ESL Lab | An online language lab with exercises, etc. Incorporates audio components. |
| Spoken American English | Site with tips on speaking "American" English with lists of useful books. |
| LD Online | Although targeted to a Learning Disabilities (LD) audience, this site has some great general information. Worth a look for those tutoring Basic Literacy students. |
| Uebersetzung | This site gives tongue twisters in over 80 languages. They can be great fun when working with ESL students. Try one in the students' language while you give them one in English! |
| SystranSoft | This commercial site provides machine translations of up to 150 words in 8 languages, including Chinese. Also translates web pages! |
