We appreciate your interest in literacy. Information is set out below on ways to help us make a difference in our students’ lives. There are lots of ways to get involved:
VOLUNTEER AS A TUTOR
We are always in need of ESL and Basic Literacy Tutors. To get more information about what’s involved, you can explore our Become a Tutor page.
If you’re ready to become a tutor, you can find out when and where our next Tutor Training Workshop is by viewing our Schedule of Upcoming Events and you can register by going to our Tutor Application.
OTHER VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

HELP LV-UC RAISE FUNDS
LV-UC always needs funds to support our tutors and students. Here are some ways that you can help us out:
1) Donate to LV-UC
2) Do your online shopping through the igive.com or OneCause.com portals.
igive.com and OneCause.com are internet shopping portals. Searching or Shopping with some of your favorite stores means a donation. It's just that free and easy. Each of these portals allows you to shop online at the websites of hundreds of well-known merchants. When you link to the merchants' websites through the igive or OneCause portal, the merchants donate a percent of your purchase to LV-UC (at no cost to you). In addition, both portals offer special coupons and deals.
Simply click on the link to shop at igive.com or OneCause.com. Register and select Literacy Volunteers of Union County as your cause. Then --- go shopping and help LV-UC! Then, ask your friends to shop through igive.com and OneCause.com too.
3) If you like to entertain, think about hosting a dinner, dessert party, wine & cheese party, barbecue or other type of gathering on behalf of LV-UC. Your guests enjoy your hospitality - and make a donation to Literacy Volunteers of Union County. Together, you share a wonderful time and help your community.
